Services and Minyanim
At Temple Beth Torah, we come together as a community to worship in an environment that is both traditional and innovative, grounded in the history of who we are as a Jewish people, and forward looking toward the spiritual needs of the next generation of Jews.
Our Maariv Services each evening are well attended, and provide moments of peace at the end of the day for our community, as well as moments of comfort and solace for those saying the Mourners Kaddish.
Friday night and Shabbat morning services are joyful and meaningful, with upbeat singing and liturgical music provided by our Cantor, and relevant Torah discussions led by our Rabbi. At the conclusion of Shabbat, we join together again for a brief Mincha afternoon service, singing, noshing, and learning, around the table, and a spirited guitar led Havdalah service each week.
On Sunday mornings, we begin the week with Shacharit services, and on Rosh Chodesh at the beginning of the month, we occasionally share a bagel breakfast together to celebrate.
We recognize that those who are less familiar with Hebrew or with traditional Jewish worship may find walking into a Sanctuary daunting! For that reason, we are intentional about being the kind of community that makes Jewish worship enjoyable, meaningful, and relatable, for Jews and non-Jews of all ages backgrounds. If you are new to our Sanctuary, you can be certain that someone will be there to shake your hand, help you find the right book, and welcome you warmly.
